Hanna Juvonen started as an Account Manager for IoT solutions at Small Data Garden in October. Her role is to enhance and grow the company’s sales. The work has gotten off to a fast start. “My colleagues are great, and the work culture is open and collaborative. I feel warmly welcomed here,” Hanna praises. “The atmosphere is very receptive to development ideas. I have been given the creative freedom to develop sales in the way I feel best. It is rewarding. I have already identified new target groups that could benefit from our services.”
“I am happy to sell Small Data Garden’s products and services”
Hanna ended up in her new job thanks to a contact from a recruitment consultant. The meeting piqued her interest in our company. “Small Data Garden’s services seemed useful, necessary, and interesting — things I would be happy to sell,” she says. Hanna has extensive experience in sales, so IoT and environmental monitoring were easy topics for her to get a grasp of. “I have worked with clients in the workplace and facilities management sectors before. I have looked at indoor air quality issues from many perspectives.” For Hanna, the location of the job is also a nice bonus. “I have been commuting between Riihimäki and Helsinki for 15 years. It was an incredible coincidence that such a great growth company was so close to home.”
30 years of sales experience
Hanna Juvonen is an experienced sales professional. “I have been working in sales and customer service for 30 years in various forms. I started my career as a hairdresser — an interesting form of sales in its own right. Later, I studied to become an executive assistant and transitioned into sales work. I have worked in many different industries, selling and solving the diverse needs of various clients,” she says. “At Small Data Garden, I get to leverage the knowledge I have gained over the years from different sectors and their trends.”
Learning new things is the spice of sales
“Sales is about meeting people. Selling services and products is people business,” Hanna summarises. For her, the best part of sales is learning new things. “Curiosity is the spice of the job. I am genuinely interested in listening to customers’ needs and situations. You can learn something new from every encounter. It keeps the hunger for development alive every day.”
