Several years of experience have demonstrated good device reliability and battery life. The city is now implementing continuous pressure differential monitoring, enabling the performance of ventilation systems to be monitored in schools and day-care centres.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Monitoring pressure conditions in a building provides information on ventilation performance and on how air moves within the building and through its structures. Continuous measurement means that conditions do not need to be assessed based on a single measurement at a point in time. Instead, changes can be identified at different times of day and over longer periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lappeenrannan Toimitilat Oy has several years of experience with Small Data Garden devices, and their reliability has proven to be good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cIn practice, Small Data Garden sensors have been in use since 2019. We haven\u2019t had any problems with their reliability. We haven\u2019t had to replace any devices because they have failed,\u201d<\/em> <em>says Jani Pietinen, HVAC Specialist at Lappeenrannan Toimitilat Oy.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:clamp(15.747px, 0.984rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.938), 24px);\"><strong>Battery life has met expectations<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the advantages of wireless monitoring is that devices can be installed in existing buildings without extensive cabling. When there are many measurement points, maintenance requirements and battery life also become important in practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Based on Lappeenranta\u2019s experience, battery life has met the expectations set for the devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201c<\/em><em>I<\/em><em>\u2019<\/em><em>m sure many people have doubts about battery life, but with these devices there<\/em><em>\u2019<\/em><em>s no need to worry. A pressure differential monitoring system using Small Data Garden devices is currently being implemented.<\/em><em>\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Continuous measurement allows property maintenance teams to see how pressure conditions behave at different times of day and how they change over time. It also makes it possible to identify potential deviations without relying solely on individual inspection measurements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cooperation between the City of Lappeenranta and Small Data Garden has continued since 2019.
