TTS was interested in monitoring dust levels in the study hall in situations where heavy machinery, such as trucks, are moving around the hall and the load on the space varies throughout the day. To address this need Small Data Garden\u2019s IOTSU\u00ae solution was implemented which monitors indoor air particulate levels in near real time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The collected measurement data is displayed on an information screen allowing users to easily monitor air quality during daily operations. In addition to fine particulate levels the information screen displays the hall\u2019s temperature. Making the temperature visible helps users understand when keeping overhead doors open unnecessarily cools the hall – especially in freezing weather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This way the data isn\u2019t just for property management, it also supports the activities of students and instructors in the hall. When changes in indoor air quality and temperature are visible it is easier for users to make small but significant choices in their daily routines such as closing the overhead doors in a timely manner and avoiding excessive ventilation in cold weather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
