Sustainability activities should be considered among the most relevant topics for your company\u2019s business. A carbon footprint calculation and a sustainability report are often the first and most important steps. These reports usually require information that cannot be found directly in the company\u2019s other systems. IoT solutions can be used to automatically collect sustainability data.<\/p>\n

Sustainable innovation and climate actions<\/h3>\n

The UN has listed 17 Sustainable Development Goals<\/a>, which aim to eradicate extreme poverty and ensure wellbeing in an environmentally sustainable way. Small Data Garden included two of these goals in their first Sustainability Report: Sustainable Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (#9) and Climate Actions (#13). These goals bring together the core of Small Data Garden\u2019s activities: service solutions to improve energy efficiency and indoor air quality.<\/p>\n

Small Data Garden\u2019s first sustainability report included a double materiality assessment and a carbon footprint calculation. The dual risk assessment refers to the risks and opportunities that the company\u2019s business poses to the environment and vice versa. In order to assess its carbon footprint, Small Data Garden developed a carbon footprint calculator to calculate the carbon footprint of commuting, manufacturing and offices. In addition the company mapped its own carbon handprint: The positive impact of its products and services. These include increasing the lifetime of buildings and reducing environmental load.<\/p>\n

Sustainability is a competitive advantage<\/h3>\n

Sustainable choices and clear communication are increasingly driving the actions of customers and investors. Sustainability has helped to drive Small Data Garden\u2019s business forward. \u201cOur customers appreciate that we think about these matters.
